Tyler Cashiering - Setting or changing your receipt printer

If you have just installed the Tyler Cashiering Hardware Console from Software Center, please restart your computer to ensure that all the related programs start correctly.

You should find the console running in your system tray (you will need to click the little up arrow ^ in the lower right corner of your screen. Right-click the icon, and select the Cashiering Hardware Console (Web) option from the menu that pops up. You can also open the configuration page directly by going to http://localhost:48099/ in the browser of your choice.

The configuration will open in your default web browser.  After first installing the application, this will show no devices configured (as shown below); if cashiering hardware has already been configured on your system this screen will show the currently configured devices.

Whether there are devices shown or not, you want to click the orange circle with the pencil icon in the lower right corner ("Maintain" will appear when you mouse over it). This will take you to the Workstation Setup screen.

IMPORTANT NOTE: if the workstation has a receipt printer attached, take note of what printer is selected. You will need to set it back when you are finished to ensure any other attached hardware (check scanner, cash drawer) works as expected. Do not change any other settings on this page. Drop down the first menu option (Printer), and you will be presented with a list. Your mapped network printers will be all the way at the bottom of the list, you will need to scroll down to find them.

Choose the printer you want to use from this list, and then click Save in the lower right corner. You will go back to the Active Devices page, now showing your newly selected printer.

You can now close the Cashiering Hardware browser tab.
